Everywhere I look, I see untraceable impressions left by people I'll never see or know
and it has me wondering about the marks I've unknowingly left
and who will see them.
Four years ago in Santa Barbara, a fire swept across my campus
it destroyed so much of what people had--everything from belongings to homes
but on this tree, new growth is finally emerging
and I can't help but stand in awe of the beauty of nature made possible by God's power.
So much of what I am stands upon what has past
I can't forget what has been, and I can't help but wonder at the beauty of what is to come.
